Tutorial: Sultry Rocker Eyes

1. Create a nude canvas. “ Using a blending brush, swirl creamy concealer over the lids all the way to the brow,” Cosenza. “You’re trying to create a wet, imperfect look, so you want a base that is easy to move around and still gives the black smoky look something to adhere to.” Loni used ClĂ© de Peau Concealer Stick.
2. Fake the wet look. Put a bit of Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant on the lid to achieve the wet look.
3. Fully line your eyes. “Line them on the outer and inner rims with a creamy black pencil liner,” she says. Loni used Jane Water-Resistant Eyeliner in “Black.”
4. Coat your lids from lash line to crease. “Generously coat your lids from lash line to crease using the same black liner you used in step three,” she says. “The goal here is to have the entire eye rimmed in liner for definition and to make the eye pop. Just remember, it doesn’t have to be perfect, since you’re going for a sooty effect.”
5. Add some gunmetal gray liner into the mix. “Where the black liner ends at the inner corner of your inner eye, add some gunmetal gray eyeliner at the inner “V,” and then blend it with the black liner to create dimension,” Cosenza says. “That way the eye doesn’t look flat.” Loni used Prestige Waterproof Eyeliner in “Granite.”
